Meet the talented and dedicated staff at Children's Dental. We are a local, family-owned dental practice that has been serving the needs of children since 2007. Our staff is specially trained to work with kids and our office is designed to be as kid-friendly as possible.
Laurie Scholzen
Office Manager
Office Manager and married to Dr. Scholzen.
Abby
Dental Assistant
Joined the team in 2008 right after we moved into our Saint George office. She grew up in Hurricane, Utah. You will find Abby mostly working as a dental assistant, unless you are in the Saint George office early in the morning for a conscious sedation, she will usually be the first face you see checking in patients then.
Autumn
Insurance Specialist
Joined the team in 2011. Autumn is primarily found at our Cedar City office and is the insurance guru there. She joined the team when she moved back to Southern Utah after being in Boston and working for Aspen Dental for over 10 years.
Curtis
Dental Assistant
Joined the team in July 2009. Curtis has two cute little girls and is an amazing assistant. We often have patients who request him when they come in. He is a huge help to all of our Spanish-speaking patients.
Danny
Dental Assistant
Joined the team in September 2013. Danny came to us after graduating high school in Las Vegas. She has truly been homegrown in our office by getting her assisting training from Dr. Scholzen and the other staff members here at Children's Dental. Danny is also one of our Spanish-speaking assistants!
Darrell
Office Manager, Cedar City
Joined the team in 2011. Darrell is the office manager at our Cedar City location. However, you will often find him out at all of the events in the community. Most know him from his previous banking experience in the Cedar City area and from his involvement with the Chamber of Commerce.
Jessica H.
Dental Assistant
Joined the team spring 2009. Jessica has three little boys and although she moved here from Michigan, she grew up in Utah. She was an easy fit for our office, with her Spanish-speaking skills and her previous dental assisting experience.
Jessica Healey
Dental Assistant
Joined the team in March of 2012. Jessica is originally from Northern Utah and completed a Dental Assisting school in Lehi. Jessica took a quick sabbatical to move home and get married and then she and her husband moved back to St. George to start their married life together.
Tiffany
Dental Assistant
Joined the team in May 2012. Born and raised in St. George. She loves horses, cows, hunting, and generally anything outdoors.
Nick
Dental Assistant
Nick is a full-time paramedic in Hurricane. However, prior to being offered a full-time position with the city, he was a full-time dental assistant at our office for over 3 years. He still makes an appearance now and then, when his schedule will allow him to come and help and when we need him.
Jimmy
Dental Assistant
Jimmy has been off and on with us since we opened in September 2007. He took some time off to play pro baseball. However, when his career was cut short due to injuries, he came back and joined us full time as a dental assistant.
